Satori was born in Berekely, CA and lived in the bay area as a child. His mother then decided to move back to Stockton, closer to his family. Satori started playing guitar at a young age, taking after his grandfather. In high school he began freestyling at house parties and soon started recording himself. His first hip-hop group was called Fly Family, which included Stockton producers OFASHO and 12th Oracle. Over the years Satori has sharpened his psychedelic rap sound as well as his production skills. Linking up with Sound Appeal Studios before his incarceration, he released "Purp Skrrt Volume 1" featuring many Stockton artists. Four months after his release from prison, his first studio album "High School Friends" was released through the Sound Appeal power house. The future is promising for Satori as he continues to blend his Psychedelic Rock/Jazz roots with New Age Hip-hop. His musical influences include : Pink Floyd, Kid Cudi, Lil B the Based God , Flying Lotus, Gang Starr, The Doors, Immortal Technique, Mac Dre, Big Pun, J Dilla, Slum Village, Kanye West, T-Pain, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, MF Doom, Ab-Soul, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down and many more..
