Electro was the first music that felt like my own, I followed it till it evolved into Hip Hop. Then the Acid house wave hit the UK, and I became a raver dedicated to the dancefloor. I loved the scene so much that I wanted to make my own contribution to the culture. DJ Django spotted me with the English National Opera youth group in the Brain club, from 1991-93 we released 3 EP’s under the name NON records which got radio play by Kiss FM and on the BBC with the John Peel show. My manager took my music and a photo into Cowboy records (what a bunch of cowboys). In next to no time, I’m touring the world and starring in videos on MTV as Frontman and vocalist for (Fatboy Slim) Norman Cook’s Pizzaman. I put my Pizzaman earnings into building my own studio and released 3 records on my own label Pure System between 1997-98. My next project was a UK garage and soulful house duo called Mills and Boom, with producer Lee Hubbard signed to Chocolate Boy records. For an in depth look at my musical journey visit http://www.jonmartindesigns.com/Music/musicbiog.shtm These days I’m a vocalist and songwriter making House, drum and Bass, and Dub influenced by soul and reggae, with cool producers from around the globe.
