Daniel Ramjattan is rapidly emerging as an ambassador for Canadian classical guitar music. He released his debut album, Inspirations: New Works for Solo Guitar, on Spotify on January 7, 2022, funded in part by a generous Ontario Arts Council recording grant, and produced by Drew Henderson. The album features six all-new works by living composers in Canada, many of which were written for him. He has performed in festivals and venues such as the Alte Schmiede Kunst Verein, Vienna, the Livorno Music Festival, Ottawa Chamberfest, Stratford's Inner Chamber, and the Toronto Contemporary Music Lab. He has also placed as a finalist at multiple international competitions, and received top awards in provincial and national music festivals. He was recently appointed as a classical guitar instructor at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON, Canada, and regularly gives talks on music performance anxiety.
