Kiko Kaid is the lofihiphop / chillhop project of the Forest Kids Collective by Paul G. Marchesani. "After being inspired by the influx of lofi artists around the 2010s I wanted to try the genre out myself and create an alias for the Collective. The first release August back in Feb of 2019 was the start of it all. Minimal, nature-themed lofi tunes was the idea. I'm always finding myself to add so much to a song; the Kiko Kaid project helped me learn how to dial it back and get it into a groove. Over the years I've learned how to pinpoint Kiko's signature sound in lofi and chillhop. Creating a marriage between the bass & drum hits. Using similar elements in each song like full-bodied electric pianos, bubbly percussive accents and melodies, and a swaying dreamy delay guitar riff fading in and out somewhere."
