Born in Toronto but raised until adolescence in Jamaica, both cultures have heavily contributed to Lan'do's sound and sense of identity as a musical artist. His introduction to music began as a point of connection within family - from early memories of grandma singing in choir, to developing a love for RnB through his mother's collection. He has since joined a group of independent artists, No Tourists, whose focus revolves around creating a sense of community, where members are supported in creating with experimental and authentic styles.
