I began writing Thija in August 2021 and thought of collaborators who would take this song up a notch. I hit up drummer Chris Allison (known for his work with Plini and guitarist Camilla Sperati for a solo. They were really kind to help me and had their fun with this track. I'm really proud of the outcome. This Is Not A Ringtone was a collaboration with my drum teacher Aliyar Kinik (on drums of course) and a group of his international musician friends. The song started out with my guitar parts laying the fundation for the instruments to come. Chase Bryant played bass and Cihan Öz keys. Erdinç Aksaç (fretless baglama, some parts with ebow) and Ilker Işik (kaval) played solos and harmonized my melodies. Finally Wes Thrailkill recorded a guitar solo.
