Pete MacLeod is a Scottish singer/songwriter with a knack for thoughtful, melodic music. Raised in the small mining town of Coatbridge, Scotland, MacLeod was heavily influenced by the music of Buddy Holly, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Throughout the 2000's, he independently released a string of singles and EP's on his own record label. He spent several years living in California before returning to Scotland to release an EP in early 2013. The EP was well-received and the song 'Rolling Stone' was chosen as the single of the month on BBC Radio Scotland. MacLeod's music soon caught the attention of Creation Records founder Alan McGee, who signed the artist to his newly launched 359 Music label. In late 2013, MacLeod released the Rolling Stone LP, his debut for 359. 2015 MacLeod started working on his follow up LP with acclaimed producer YOUTH, (The Verve, Primal Scream, Pink Floyd, Crowded House). James McCartney, Son of The Beatles Paul McCartney, plays guitar on the album, as does The Verve and Gorillaz guitarist Simon Tong. Pete decided to make a completely different LP from his debut album. The new LP titled Crestfallen was released in 2016 on MacLeod's own Stepping Stone Music label. Janice Long (BBC Radio 2) championed the album playing the first single 'Crestfallen' a record 14 times on her show. A first for any artist on Janice's show. Pete is currently working on his third and new solo album 'Walk To The Light'. Due for release in 2018. @ www.petemacleod.net
