Midas Field is a brand-new voice in the Dutch electronic music scene. He seamlessly blends house music from around the globe into a unique and playful sound. Whether it’s a classic house beat fused with a thriving salsa rhythm or funky pianos with acid synths, Midas knows how to blend it all together into an energetic set full of surprises. Inspired by artists like Dam Swindle, Kerri Chandler, Makez, and Hunee, he infuses his music with a deep groove and soulful undertones, creating a sound that resonates with a wide range of listeners. Midas’s love for music began at an early age; by five, he was already jamming on a rusty keyboard that today would be considered a vintage piece. Growing up, he transitioned from keyboard jamming to playing Ellington on the piano. At 14, a high school friend installed a DAW on his computer, and he has been obsessed with making electronic music ever since. Going to clubs for the first time and hearing house music through the speakers ignited a feeling within him that is hard to describe—let’s just say he found his passion. His dynamic performances have quickly garnered attention, leading him to play at festivals and clubs like SMEERBOEL (2023), La Folie Douce, Colorado Charlie, IJLAND, and many more. His residency at Club Freya provided the ideal space to experiment with new sounds and test his latest tracks in front of a live audience. This experience has developed his skills, making him more than ready to command even larger audiences.
