In the heart of the United States, Dakota grew up as a queer kid in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He moved to Colorado in 2018 where he began to make music despite having always been a musician. His parents were both singers and his passion for music was fostered from a young age. Dakota's music is a reflection of his experiences and relationships as a queer person in the Midwest.
