Coming from a singing career Debbie Sanders has toured and recorded with a variety of bands such as Chapter & Verse and Skylab, Howie B, as well as  various vocal work for ads and tv, such as BBC series 'walk on by" and for music publishers ANCBlack. More recently she has performed with improviser Mark Sanders and with  Rachel Musson's Staggerlee Wonders. After having her first child Debbie moved into storytelling. Encouraged by her best friend Jan Blake, world renowned Storyteller, and armed with some great traditional African and Afro-Caribbean tales she began a career working in schools, centres and nurseries. She also began writing and recording her own children’s songs, crafting these songs in the various musical genres that she loves, they cover a myriad of subject matters from squirrels riding bikes to making friends. Some come as a series of musical stories that feature characters such as Jazz Cat, Teddy Bear and Mitzy Morgan Taylor an intrepid girl sailor. Others are fun educational songs or just great dance tracks.  Debi has had the good fortune to collaborate with some of Britains greatest jazz musicians and many tracks have been produced by her long time friend and former Skylab band member Matty Skylab. She now has a huge catalogue of songs and accompanying animations and music videos. She still loves running classes for babies and kids, storytelling and sharing her songs.
