Lil Silent 1 is South Central LA’s Underground gangster rap legend who began rapping in the mid 90’s. Best known for taking gangster rap tracks from those times & remixing them into the most raw, ghetto, gutter & gangster rap as seen through his own eyes. The grittiness of his lyrics & the beats he was using was rare at the time for a Mexican rapper which caught the attention of the streets & created a buzz that was strictly word of mouth. (These tracks are available on YouTube and SoundCloud) As more tracks were created between a span of the years ‘94-‘98 the tracks were collected into a mixtape. By this time the mixtape was already circulating throughout the neighborhoods in Los Angeles County & eventually through out other counties in California. In 1998 Lil Silent was arrested eventually convicted of a case which landed him in the California prison system until his release in the 2015. In the mid 2000’s he released some tracks which were recorded on a cassette recorder while incarcerated. (Some of these tracks can also be found on YouTube & SoundCloud) After his release in 2015, Lil Silent has released an album titled (That Voice), has released a few remixes which can also be found on YouTube & SoundCloud. But he has mainly been focused on his rap group V.O.T.G You can find Lil Silent rapping throughout countless V.O.T.G tracks as an original member and creator of the group.
