Starting his journey as “Kuz?” on October 31st, 2015, Jonathan quickly found his lane in trap and hip-hop production which eventually led to the artistry today now known under the name “100proof Kuz”. Kuz, as he is known around the local scene of Long Island and internet areas, has covered many personal self-reflective subjects from emotions that come with being diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder, to substance abuse, to uncovering social-environmental issues that remain relatable across a global spectrum. Being a part of what he has referred to as “Suburbia”, Kuz’s journey as a musician is nothing short of remarkable. Blending the sounds of his influences such as Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, Future, and many more, Kuz’s lore and creation of self speaks wonders on how life in a small town that he never left can be quite chaotic, but also pleasantly brilliant.
