Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Lips Lips Lips is Nordic Dream Pop. Behind LIPS LIPS LIPS is Danish musician, electronic producer and songwriter Søren Juul (previously Indians and Søren Juul, both on 4AD). Juul debuted under the name Indians, releasing the LP Somewhere Else on 4AD back in 2013. His intimate yet expansive dream-pop earned him high acclaim, a composing gig for the film The Fault In Our Stars and a taste of the limelight. Juul then retired Indians and released his second LP, This Moment, under his own name, Søren Juul. The album, full of wistful atmospherics, charted a meandering young artist’s yearning for a home. LIPS LIPS LIPS, now on Danish Music For Dreams, follows the artist’s retreat from a life of noise and constant movement. The forthcoming album, Life Is Pretty Surreal, represents a newfound musical freedom and a more groove-based sound. Thanks to Koda's cultural funds for helping with this project.
