Crystal Renee is tackling the music scene with her artistically crafted combination of emotional, rational, sultry, allegory, matter-of-fact, and subconscious styles of music. Born in southwest Atlanta and currently residing in Clayco, music has been a part of her life regardless of where she was on the map. In her early childhood years she began tapping into music by rapping alongside her three siblings under the management of her father, but it wasn’t until she was sixteen years old and discovered that she could sing that her infatuation and passion for music truly emerged. Switching lanes from rapping to singing Crystal knew she had a distinctive voice so her new musical inspirations came from voices like Erykah Badu, Lalah Hathaway, Fantasia, Lauryn Hill, Dolly Parton, MC Lyte, Jazmine Sullivan, Maxwell, & Lisa Fischer. It’s safe to say she found her true love at 16 when she discovered this side of herself and now music is the lifeline that keeps her going.
