JayForeign is 19 year old rapper. He was born Oluwabunmi Clement Obasa Jr from Lagos Nigeria. With music influences as broad as Michael Jackson, Pop Smoke, MaxThaDemon, Fivio foreign, Travis Scott, Drake, The Notorious B.I.G, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Skies, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow And many more. Listening to his music now you can hear the inspiration from Pop Smoke heavily which was always his favorite artist along side Travis Scott but when he first started making music In 2016 he was making melodic auto tune style trap music. Which was heavily influenced from the music he was listening at the time from artist such as Lil Skies and Travis Scott. Then over time he gained a grime and deepness to his voice. He had began rapping as early as 2016 but wasn't consistent until 2018 but then he quit making music. Then he began to pick up the mic again during summer of 2020 after helping childhood friend Buukah3x mix his music and has been consistent ever since. JayForeign brings a breath of fresh air to the music scene with his intricate style of music. He often brings comparisons to Pop Smoke but states “At the time they were all I was listening to for months and months on end. Without him I wouldn't be rapping right now.” He has his own unique voice and flare to his music and brings a fresh new sound to the Music scene.
