Biography

Paul McNasty’s love for music ignited at a young age. His earliest memories are filled with the sounds of a nightly boom box placed next to him in the closet where he slept as a child, while his mother attended parties. The music that played through those speakers became a source of comfort, soothing the feelings of abandonment and loneliness. Throughout his early life, McNasty was moved across various neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area and the Inland Empire, some of the roughest areas in California. These experiences shaped his musical tastes, exposing him to the rich, diverse sounds of the cultural melting pots in poverty-stricken areas of Los Angeles during the early 90s. As a child, Paul vividly remembers recording "Two of Hearts" on a tape recorder, stretching the tape, and rolling it back into the case to create a stretched and distorted feel. His resourcefulness didn’t stop there. Eventually, he got his hands on a used record player and crossfader, embarking on a journey of experimenting with scratching records and crafting simple sampled beats. Around 2008 Paul McNasty began creating full-length hip hop albums for prominent artists such as White Boyz With Attitude, Binky Mack and Squeek Ru from Allfrumthai, Master Clown Shrooms, Jraztik, R-Mean, Mr. Tyler, Staxx Gouda, and many more artists. Paul McNasty is known for his unique sounds that seamlessly blends multiple genres, making him a sought-after producer for many artists.
