Straddling electronic music and performance art, Tyler Matthew Oyer has performed and exhibited their goth-pop projects internationally for over a decade. Their vocal aesthetic combines spoken-word incantation with years of vocal training in opera and choral music. Oyer's musical stylings have been compared to those of Björk, Klaus Nomi, SOPHIE, and Perfume Genius. Musical releases include: RELEASE DELUXE (2017), NO TEMPLE (2020), RETEMPLE - NO TEMPLE REMIXED (2020), TENDERNESS (2021), BERLIN ALIEN (2023), and BERLIN ALIEN: DEEP SPACE DEEP THROAT (2023). Oyer is featured on the title track of SONIKKU's album Joyful Death and their artworks have been exhibited alongside artists such as Genesis P-Orridge, Kenneth Anger, Kembra Pfahler, David LaChapelle and Vaginal Davis. Oyer has performed at venues such as The Getty Museum, MoMA PS1, Art Basel Miami Beach, Silencio Paris, Volksbühne Berlin, The Broad Museum, and Ceremonia Festival Mexico City. Their latest stage production, VENUS 2.0, opened in Los Angeles with three sold-out performances in April 2024.
