babbis is a currently uncontained government bioweapon that uses low frequency soundwaves to mind control human beings to dance to death. this entity was kept dormant by an active volcano named Krakatoa until the year 1883, when the emergence happened it created the loudest sound in recorded history which wiped out entire towns from the shockwave alone thousands of miles away. the sound circled the earth several times before dissipating. no one knows the first signs of breach but ancient tablatures near Mesopotamia in the year 4900 BC indicate that somewhere near the Tigris River, a water deity predicted the end of the world in almost exactly 6,000 years. the diety stated the inevitability of the apocalypse was to be brought on by a man going by the name of "babbis" with "808s so intense that the earth's crust and mantle would give way and split the world asunder." naturally, the Ancient Mesopotamians didn't know what an 808 was since the Roland music manufacturing company didn't exist for another six millenia, so they just ignored the warning, but wrote it down because it was kinda funny.
