Biography

Madelin is an experimental pop artist originally from Venice Beach, currently living in Bushwick. Her music is eclectic and introspective. Her sound is uniquely ethereal,  with elements of pop, indie, and electronic sounds. Her soundscape includes a myriad of found sounds, manipulated in surprising ways to function in the format of a pop song. She moved from Los Angeles to New York at eighteen to study composition at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College. In 2013 she released her debut EP entitled "Cloud"  which met critical acclaim for its inimitable sound from taste making blogs such as Line of Best Fit and Crack in the Road. In May of 2017 she released “Madelin”,  a self titled EP.  Her feminist single  “Good List” gained over 180,000 plays on Spotify. Madelin’s second EP, “The Peachmixes”,  was a remix EP of all the tracks on “Madelin”, and featured art, performances, and production by prominent queer artists in the Brooklyn nightlife scene as well as expertly talented independent producers. Her eclectic and inclusive music video for her single, “High School Boys” , directed by Jose Dao, was premiered on Billboard. Madelin is a self described artist/gemini/cat mom. She humbly serves weird pop realness.
