A synthesist and multimedia artist living in Northern California, Chris Otchy creates evocative electronic music, ranging from rich, melodic ambient pieces to atmospheric, leftfield techno. From 1998-2004, he playing synth and toured with the electropop band, Soviet based in New York City. When the band dissolved, he abandoned music and relocated to Southeast Asia, establishing himself as a foreign journalist and editor. Returning to the States in 2011, Chris relocated to San Francisco and began making music again, taking a more serious interest in ambient music.
