$COTTIB, born Scott Baker, is an up and coming artist coming out of Detroit, Michigan. Although he started making music in 2015, it wasn’t until 2021 when he dropped his breakout song, “bestfriend,” that the rest of the city decided to take notice. Throughout 2022, his buzz further developed after performing at various shows in the Detroit area. $COTTIB’s style is clearly influenced by alternative, post punk, and electronic music. His musical influences include a wide range of sounds. $COTTIB’s dark, grungy flow is his own unique flair on the prototypical detroit sound.
