Located in South East London, Monotor AKA Ben spent his formative years soaking up a passion for science fiction, graphic design and revelling in the second summer of love, a period that left an indelible mark on his musical journey. His musical influences are a rich tapestry, spanning genres like funk, soul, early acid house, hip hop and early 90s rave. His first synth, a Roland W30, was purchased shortly after hearing the era-defining rave anthem 'Everybody in the Place' by The Prodigy. Maintaining an unwavering devotion to electronic music, Monotor has returned to the studio, crafting seductive, groove-infused house tracks with releases on esteemed labels such as Vivifier, Deep V, G-MAFIA and Electric Eden.
