SOLOCELO is a pop-rap artist hailing from the Hyde Park neighborhood in the south side of Chicago. A troublesome child, he started writing songs in detention which led him to form the hip-hop collective Exit the Premises (ETP) in high school with his friends. Later attending Columbia College of Chicago for audio engineering, he started engineering for major hip-hop artists. The same year he graduated college, he released BROKEN, I’M SOLO, and HAPPY EVER AFTER, leading to the end of his engineering career and the start of his artist career. With a newfound focus on writing songs more personal to his life, SOLOCELO is just getting started in his artistry.
