Portland producer Trox has been coming with heat for longer than people realize. Even if you’re just finding out about him, this west coast beat-maker has been working for quite some time. Armed with a seemingly endless supply of bangers, Trox has inserted himself into the upper echelon of active hip hop producers. While Trox has been instrumental in putting Portland hip hop on the map, he’s also produced for some of the biggest names in rap including 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Che Noir, Ransom and Cordae. In 2017, Trox joined forces with Detroit rapper Ty Farris and released Room 39, a hard-hitting full-length record including appearances by Royce Da 5’9, Kid Vishis, and Rapper Big Pooh. Trox has shown his ability to provide a backdrop for all sorts of MC's, as well as letting them stand alone. His soundscapes appear on Spotify playlists such as “Gold Instrumental Beats," "Focus Flow," and "Chill Instrumental Beats." In 2018, Trox released Black Gloves, an instrumental album that could easily be the soundtrack to your favorite noir flick. The year after, he released Late 80's Baby via Fresh Selects. Trox was summoned by Dreamville (J Cole's label) to help work on their Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation album, which in turn, landed him a spot on Lute's Goldmouf LP with the song "Myself." Rest assured, more is on the way. Biz: deejaysoko@gmail.com
