Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, he now resides in the capital city Columbus. Jordidge is a singer and songwriter, who also has a passion for film and storytelling. He’s chronicled quite a journey singing and writing through emotions, relationships, and historical touchstones in his life. It is important for him to entwine everything that has informed him. He enjoys the exploration of sounds and rhythms as vehicle for his lyrics and meditations on his life experiences. He has been tethered to music in many ways throughout his life through church, musical theater, and multiple rock projects. Music has been mainstay in his life, getting him through tough relationships and times of intense depression, always there to comfort and inspire him to this day. According to Jordidge, making music is like untangling the knots in you head, it relieves the tension we and the world puts on us. Inspired by the rise of artists such as Moses Sumney, Lianne LaHavas, and Nick Hakim, he started making music for himself, and posting his music on SoundCloud and preforming at open mics. It was the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic that really pushed him into the studio with friend Joe Amadio. There he created the sounds that would become his trio of releases, “Capricorn Couplet 1, 2 and 3”, in the summer of 2021. He release the well received single, “Restraint” earlier this year and is following with 4 more songs this fall/winter starting with “In Your Favor” slated for late September 2023.
