Jack "Skye" Ramsay –better known by the name Skybreak– is an American electronic artist, best recognized for his distinctly jazzy, emotive style of bass music, which has earned him DJ support from ILLENIUM, Alison Wonderland, Spag Heddy, PhaseOne, BARELY ALIVE and more. He made his festival debut in 2021 at EDC Las Vegas and has since toured with Dabin and SLANDER. Ramsay was born in New Jersey in 2002 to an exceptionally musical family. He began playing drums at age 6, sharing numerous jam sessions with his father, a guitarist. Ramsay performed in his school’s jazz band and took several songwriting classes at a local music school. In 2014, his knack for songwriting naturally evolved into an interest in music production. The Skybreak project first took flight in 2016 and has yet to settle down. Scores of Skybreak releases span across the years, including two full length albums, several EPs (including the forest-themed Lumina EP and the collaboration-filled Unity EP) and even a few official remixes for names like Said The Sky, Dabin, Chime, William Black, Motion City Soundtrack, Ace Aura, Oliverse, Mokita, Josh Bogert and Crystal Skies. In more recent months, Skybreak has landed releases with Disciple, Lost In Dreams, NSD, Seeking Blue, Heaven Sent, Lowly and Circus Records. Skybreak's music manages to hit a sweet spot between heavy festival sound design and pure musicality that very few artists can reach, largely shaped by his love of video game and anime soundtracks.
