You can almost say that music crept up on Liz Lubega. Born in the UK but raised in Uganda for most of her teenage years, Liz didn’t fully utilize her gift until the age of 18 when she was back on British soil. Her Ugandan upbringing gave Liz a wealth of knowledge and experience in comparison to her peers. It was this knowledge and experience that would go on to shape her writing and passion for music. After gaining the confidence to nurture her craft in her late teens, she has since been responsible for numerous well-known hooks on albums in the UK Gospel charts, with some of those artists going on to win MOBO awards and nominations. She later released her EP ‘ The Process’ which received great support from the likes of ‘ The 405, Indie Shuffle AND MOBO to name a few. Her sound and inspiration are drawn from an array of artists such as Brandy, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and Jill Scott. All of whom have helped her hone in on her singing and song writing craft. Liz Lubega combines a blissful soul sound with a bluesy effect- in turn creating her own signature sound.  With her music, Liz Lubega aims to bring passion, honesty, soul, and transparency with meaningful lyrics that listeners can relate to.
