DREION is an electrifying singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and performing artist originally from Omaha, Nebraska who has been privileged to open for and collaborate with iconic artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Musiq Soulchild, Lalah Hathaway, Bootsy Collins, and J. Ivy to name a few! DREION is a survivor of the foster care system and an activist for foster care reform. As a survivor of the foster care system, he uses his music to inspire and shed light on this very underserved community through powerful storytelling of his foster care journey. In 2020, original compositions “Let It Rain” & “I Got A Bad Feeling” from his debut project “I AM LIFE'' was featured in the film “Foster Boy'' produced by Shaquille O’Neal to shed light on the struggles and challenges of foster youth in the system. His music can also be described as soulful, rhythmic, and nostalgic with a modern twist combing Inspirational, Gospel, Soul, Funk, and R&B genres in the likeness of his many musical influences and heroes Prince, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Michael Jackson, and many more. DREION is a seasoned performer and alumnus of Berklee College of Music who was awarded “Performer of The Year” by the 2019 Berklee Urban Service Awards. He has performed for many prestigious events and venues worldwide including The Rady Shell at Jacob’s Park (San Diego), Wolf Ferrari Haus (Munich, Germany), multiple City Winery Venues, the College World Series, Gillette Stadium, and the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
