SKYLARPENDERGAST is a singer / songwriter from Southern Illinois who has been self producing and recording music for over 6 years. The music sound is of a hardcore mixture of Industrial Hip-Hop with Rhythm and Blues melodies and structures. In 2015, SP released his debut mixtape ‘Tainted Love’ documenting the life and struggles of growing up in a small town riddled with drug abuse and poor decisions. The discography continued for six more EP releases before reaching 2022. Now at 25, SKYLARPENDERGAST is embarking the next step in his life with the release of his debut album ‘XENYTH.’ SP tells the story of his own personal pain, issues with world and culture, and the metaphorical journey of outer space. Planet Zee (acting as the imagination of SKYLARPENDERGAST) was demolished by an invading unit of those who misunderstand and judge too quickly. Abbie Condice (the split personality character of SP’s thoughts) has to build the perfect weapon of security before returning to earth where he deems “unsafe.” Xenyth is born and the journey begins. The music of SKYLARPENDERGAST is all self produced and tells the honest story of an outcast in a perfect world. SP continues to write, record and perform to this day.
