Jiří Kotača is awarded trumpet player, band leader and composer. He founded big band Cotatcha Orchestra that was awarded by Czech jazz harvest 2020 and was nominated for Anděl Prize. Jiří is also a co-leader of Alf Carlsson/Jiří Kotača Quartet. Through recent years he has been working with Grammy nominated musician Ilja Reijngoud, Mar Vilaseca, European Jazz Radio Orchestra, Lenka Dusilová and many others. Jiří released 3 albums highly appreciated by critics. Journeys (Amplion, 2019), Bigband Electronics (Big Round, 2020), Our Stories (Animal Music, 2024).
