Haides is the alias of London-based electronic artist/producer/DJ, 23-year-old, Callum Garvey. His music incorporates a variety of genres; from his signature synth sounds, elements of house and trance, to hip hop beats, samples and future bass. Callum started producing at the age of 14, making trance music inspired by Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. He went on to discover dubstep by South London locals Benga and Skream. By the age of seventeen he was wholly immersed in dance music and the culture. He played house and techno sets around the UK, sharing bills with the likes of Solomun, Nicole Moudaba, Clive Henry and Loco Dice; at venues including Brixton Electric, Brixton Academy, Club Warehouse, Crucifix Lane and Fire in Vauxhall. Over the past couple of years Callum shifted his focus to developing his production skills, creating and evolving Haides' sound. His debut EP ‘Faith’ (May 2017) - included singles ‘Need This’ and ‘Faith’. The release received critical acclaim with glowing reviews from notable press outlets, having been compared to the likes of @flume. The EP also received substantial support from BBC Introducing The South. In addition to creating his own material, Haides remixes and produces for various other artists, including @goldilox, @elephante, and @madison. He has also recently collaborated with songwriter Marlie on a new project: Majestic Minds. Their first single 'Oxygen' is due for release August 24th.
