21-year-old Odunmbaku Adesoga Somorin, who left Nigeria at a tender age for Trinidad and Tobago, in the West Indies releases “Money Dance". In this record he highlights the energy of wealth & affluence in Yoruba culture- AJE. He masterfully blends, Nigerian Pidgin, French & Spanish words, with Yoruba and Trinbago Creole. This provides a unique expression, alluding that everyone, regardless of their background is looking for 'AJE". This track is a great listen, it is inspirational, fun and many have even recorded making money the day after vibing to the track. His debut single was titled “Vibrate” and this secured him a spot to open for Burna Boy at the TOMAC festival. Adesoga, who said he was driven to educate, entertain and motivate people through music, fitness and spirituality, noted that Vibrate is a record about energy, trusting intuition, and, feeling vibes. The multitalented youngster, whose parents are from royal families in Ogun State, is also a strong promoter of black consciousness and a social crusader, like Fela Anikulapo Kuti, his mentor and inspiration. Adesoga said through his music, he aims to connect the African/Carribean diasporas to correct the age-long misconceptions about so many issues surrounding Nigeria and Africa at large.— Dave Vangaurd Adesoga is a custodian of ancient culture, traditions and my music is spiritually grounded with the purpose of letting people dance, enjoy good energy while touching on important life topics.
