An innovative, self-taught young artist, Hutch is a singer songwriter from Brighton carving a refreshingly unique sound from his wide range of influences. Inspired by the likes of Oscar Peterson and Ray Charles as well as Anderson Paak and SAULT, Hutch was initially recognised for his talent in front of a piano and has been regarded by voyeurs and peers alike as one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation. More recently, he has been using his voice and honing in on his songwriting as he starts to write his first body of songs. Embarking on a journey of musical self-discovery and reflecting on his past experiences, Hutch is a true artist in the making who is ready to tell his story. Hutch is currently working towards his debut EP (due in 2024) and writing with some very exciting producers and fellow songwriters on the project. He aims to create a space through his songwriting to connect with others via soulful and emotive expression. Hutch is undoubtedly an artist to watch for the rest of the year and beyond.
