LukeyBaby is an emerging 21 year old hip hop artist and producer born and raised in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. As a kid you could always catch Lukey consuming music either listening to whatever he could afford on iTunes, or singing along to the radio in the car with his family. In high school, he became very invested and intrigued by the creation of hip hop music because of his friends around him at the time who were experimenting with it, and from there he was hooked. LukeyBaby has been writing raps since he was 14, making beats on any DAW he could get his hands on, and is now finally living out his dream of being a full fledged artist and producer. Emotionally, Lukey’s music bounces around to different ideas ranging from believing and following your own vision, twists to the detailed intimacy he experiences with women, and flows into just how real his life has become due to the discomfort of breaking the simulation and chasing success. Sonically, LukeyBaby’s production selection so far in his career other than his first project, has come almost solely from his very close friend and record producer, Apollo90seven. Together, the two seem to sew the new era of rap with old style sample chops, self composed and orchestrated string and brass samples, trap drums, and smooth 808s into a perfect mix of sound. LukeyBaby believes a strong record should be youthful, bouncy, fun, and should be able to be felt by the listener from start to finish.
