Born November 16, 1992 in San Bernardino California Johann “The JonesIE K.I.D.” Wainwright grew up in a very eclectic musical home; his father is a contemporary jazz saxophonist and music producer who comes from a very prominent musical background. His mother spent many hours listening to Motown hits and Anita Baker albums. This combination has definitely contributed to the talented mind and poetic thoughts of this young artist. Influenced by the inner city life that’s surrounded him young JonesIE found himself living in a world that would give him many stories to tell in the future. He has honed a sound inspired by the sounds of artist like currency as he began to write poetry with the ambition to be a songwriter till sometime after he was influenced to step in the booth, which began his journey to find his stage presence.
