Opera Singer [ Soprano ] Pervin Chakar was born in Mardin in Turkey. She graduated with honors from the "Conservatorio F. Morlacchi" in Perugia in Italy. She won the first prize of the Maria Caniglia competition in Sulmona, the second Magda Olivero prize in Milan. She is winner of the " 2012 Golden Orfeo Gran Prix Leyla Gencer" in France, Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation in Ankara and Andante Magazine 4th Donizetti Classical Music Awards in 2013 in Istanbul. Pervin Chakar is not only a refined interpreter of the operatic repertoire, but also and above all a tireless divulger of the musical repertoire of her homeland and proposed by her through transcriptions for Western instruments in order to bring it closer to the general public without ever distorting it. She realised solo albums from Ada Music Label in Istanbul, L’Olimpiade opera by Myslivicek live performance CD by Bongiovanni Label. She brings Mesopotamian hymns, songs and sacred songs to international stages with Western and Eastern instruments.
