Alayah Simone was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She comes from a family of singers and has been singing all of her life. In youth, she sang in her church choir. As a student at Locke High School in south central, she joined the school choir and took music theory as an elective. The class was taught by the late legendary music producer, Reggie Andrews. After school, Alayah was apart of a music program the Watts/Willowbrook Boys And Girls Club called Peapod Music and Arts Academy, where she took classes in music production, dance, and acting. She also took dance and music classes in college. After abandoning her hopes of a career in music for many years, she picked it back up in 2020 with her first recorded single "In The Morning". She followed it with smooth R&B songs like "Passenger's Seat" and "Envy". She released her first EP, "Break Up Songs" in February 2022. Later in 2022, she released another single, "Fall" which is set to be apart of the track list for her upcoming project "Songs To Make Up To”.
