Seeking solace, she reached out to a mentor on May 9, 1997, embarking on a journey of recovery and sobriety. Enduring open-heart surgery for a rare congenital defect, defying a 50% success prognosis, Hilary lost her voice temporarily but reclaimed it after 18 months. These experiences fueled her commitment to altruism and spreading messages of hope. Dedicating her life and talents to societal betterment through music, Hilary aims to be a beacon of hope and empowerment. In 2018, she released "There For You," reaching No.10 on the Billboard Dance-Club Chart. Following with a chart-topping rendition of Soul II Soul's "Back to Life" in 2019, and the heartfelt "Fight to the Other Side," she celebrates positive influences in our lives with "Good Man." Her upcoming release, "Better Than This," with gospel singer Brenda Ellis, is scheduled for January 15, 2024. Beyond music, Hilary established the Red Songbird Foundation, a non-profit aiding survivors of trauma from sexual, physical, and verbal abuse. The foundation offers counseling, facilitates treatment access, and supports targeted support groups.
