Marco Gomez aka False Witness (b. 1988, Boston) is a musician, DJ, and visual artist working between the realms of Techno and contemporary art. Once associated with GHE20G0TH1K and the New York City underground of the early 10’s, they have grown as an electronic music producer with a multi genre approach to DJing. Throughout their musical career, they have shared the stage with acts like Ellen Allien, Hector Oaks, SPFDJ, Tzusing & Juliana Huxtable. In addition to their solo work, they are also one half of production and DJ duo FALSEBOI, alongside SHYBOI. False Witness is best known for their fast, hard techno approach on labels like Lobster Theremin and E-Missions Recordings. Their 2019 breakout hit “Red Curtain Daybreak” received global praise from press outlets like Mixmag, Paper Magazine, & Groove Magazine while also challenging the current scene's most established aesthetic norms. Their sound in the club, however, is incredibly versatile and dancefloor focused, making them a crowd favorite in queer nightlife spaces around the world. False Witness has performed at various major art and electronic music institutions, including the Frieze Art Fair in London, the Venice Biennale, The New Museum, Berghain, Tresor, Hyperreality Festival in Vienna, The Art School Glasgow, SXSW Austin and Warm Up at MoMA PS1 in New York City. They are currently based in Berlin, Germany.
