A Covid Kinda Christmas

Biography

Harrison White is a young, up-and-coming ambient and jazz music producer based in Bristol. Before launching his career as a producer, he grew up in the outskirts of London, where from the age of 7 he was very lucky to have the opportunity to learn to play the trumpet, double bass and bass guitar. His career started taking off when he began playing in various bands and ensembles. In 2015 he moved to Bristol to pursue and study his passion in Music Production and Sound Engineering. Away from producing music he began, and still operates, his own audio productions company, Spectra Sounds Ltd., where he works with fellow musicians and outside artists to record, mix and master their work. For his ambient work, he is hugely influenced by the likes of Brian Eno, Tim Hecker and Toshimaru Nakamura and the music he produces often reflects this. Within his productions he utilises a wide array of various techniques commonly associated with these artists - from music created using Eno's Oblique Strategies, to songs composed entirely by a set of four dice, to solely using feedback to make music using a technique known as 'no-input mixing'. With a bit of research, his abstract song titles will often expose the techniques used for each of those songs.
