Simon Maisano, Argentinian guitarist based in Barcelona, completed his Chamber Music Bachelor in Lanus University (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and a Master in Musicology in the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. He has attended classes with a number of teachers, Ricardo Gallén, Judicael Perroy, Pablo Márquez, Hopkinson Smith, Pedro Mateo Gonzales, Alex Garrobé, Petrit Ceku and completed a postgraduate of Instrumental Improvement at the Conservatory of Liceu Barcelona with Guillem Perez-Quer. Winner of important scholarships and competitions in America and Europe, he has been working intensively as a soloist. He has toured throughout Spain, Andorra, Germany, France and South America, as a soloist, with chamber groups or orchestra. In December 2016 he presented his first CD featuring Latin-American Music. Furthermore, he is founding guitarist of Trio Desconcierto, a guitar trio ensemble and Duo Aramai, duet of guitar and voice. He has recorded albums as a soloist, with Trio Desconcierto, Duo Aramai and his former indie rock bands Pyrocosmos and The Kennficks.
