Saikat Basu is an Indian singer-songwriter and composer. He is more prominently identified as the bassist and the vocalist of the Hyderabad based indie jazz/blues band 'The Songsmiths'. He has also done numerous projects as music director for commercials and short films. With a very authentic style of writing and composing , he has marked his signature. Singing stories and taking his audience on a soulful musical journey , he is actively performing with his band at various venues and collaborating with various artists exploring other horizons artistically.
