Harli Saxon is a creator by breath. Though primarily recognized in the outer world as a songwriter, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist, her very existence is art, and the story of her survival is poetry. Despite her ripe age of mid-twenty-something human years, she has maintained consistency as a performer and creative force, contributing to a variety of musical collectives as well as her own solo vibration, for well over a decade. She uses each form of her art as a tool to practice healing, both from her own internal struggles rooted in her formative life experience, and externally, to build awareness, influence compassion, cultivate resonance with those who share in her joys and sorrows, and initiate shadow work on a species-wide scale. She has been described as genre-fluid, reflecting both the vastness of her artistic influences and the vastness of her spirit. Her most recent solo release, holynumber, touches on grief through joy and silliness. It is a return to her roots of Hip Hop and R&B, with the same edge and rawness of her progressive rock past, combined with the political narrative, DIY-ness, and unashamed grit of early hardcore punk. It is her first release since her indefinite hiatus from her most-notable project to date, Harli & The House of Jupiter– A "band"-aid ripped off, exposing a new chapter by force. In her time not spent making art, she enjoys longboarding, nature, delicious food, her cats, and her side hustle as a private music instructor.
