OYASABA, the Flatbush Sound: First off, thank you for listening...! Oyasaba, my given middle name, means one who was lost, found & treasured thereafter. As a youngster I spurned the weight of my names and longed to have a name easier for others to understand. At this point the prescience of my parents has come clear as I embrace both my given names and treasure their resonance. In any case the Flatbush Sound is here for your perusal. We made these 4 albums with the old-fashioned intention that they be heard as albums; far be it from me to expect anything from you the unknown listener; I have shared my intention, for it is the point of departure for the work herein and the albums to come. The rest is up to y'all.... FYI, I am a native Brooklynite, born, raised, and presently residing in Flatbush.
