A consistent architect of polished, lustrous electronic pop often reminiscent of Nick Jonas, Charlie Puth, and The Weeknd, ANTi has spent the 2020s thus far establishing himself as one of the most sought after up-and-coming producers in Nashville’s exploding underground pop scene, following the hiatus of his signature 2010s duo The Love Elektrik. But he’s been quietly laying the groundwork for his second act: a return to the fold as artist and frontman. The lead single “Glass House” from his forthcoming debut solo album is the first glimpse into his next era. Written with Rich Harris and Graham Mallany and co-produced by Harris, the track is a masterclass in crisp pop songcraft and airtight production. Threads that have long been present in his sound — misty synths, sledgehammer beats, elegantly precise guitar work — are distilled to their most potent form here, exploiting a wide range of vocal textures with mature skill and emotion while lyrically exploring deeper, more contemplative subject matter. Not unlike rare industry icons who effortlessly wear both hats on either side of the glass (see: Ryan Tedder, Charlie Puth, Jon Bellion), ANTi is equal parts artist, producer, songwriter, and esteemed multi-instrumentalist. 2023 saw the release of no fewer than 17 singles on which he was credited as producer and/or songwriter. Co-signed by media outlets like Buzz Music, Kings of A&R and Plastic Magazine, ANTi returns to the driver’s seat to take pop music back to the future.
