St Louis’ YdotSamuel is a generational artist, who deserves his flowers now. “Fuck the lane, I’m going to swerve across the whole freeway,” he says. Y. Samuel does it all. He can craft a vivid verse instilling the listener with the pathos he delivers in his lyrical execution. He can write melodies and catchy hooks you’ll remember forever, he can produce vast soundscapes that transport you to his universe where he’s free to express himself the list goes on and on. Y. Samuel is one of a kind artist who creates by his own rules and it is this approach and attitude to art that has drawn fans to him. With his 2020 album spelling a new direction for the artist, now is the time to press play on Y. Samuel, as he has more in the chamber for 2021 and beyond.
