Mykee Phunkee originally started out as a rapper and an MC in the genres of Jungle and then Garage, but always had a fascination for the art of mixing. In early 2000 he decided to try his hand at producing music and instantly developed an obsession with it. In 2013 the musical focus switched from Hip-Hop and Garage to House, particularly the underground London scene with its dark and hard-hitting rhythms and energetic atmosphere. It was around the same time that Mykee Phunkee began playing live sets and his productions began to receive support and airplay from the likes of House FM, S-Dance Live and Flex FM. 2014 saw his first House release on UK based independent record label Fracture Recordings, a weekly radio show on House FM, residency at the world famous BackTo95 and the launch of his own record label B Phunkee Music. 2016 saw the release of the House Every Weekend, Vol. 2 compilation album courtesy of Universal Music which featured Mykee Phunkee's track 'Telling Me Yes' following incredible support from Paul Oakenfold, David Zowie and Capital Xtra. Genres: Deep/Tech House, Bass, UK Garage
