Independent British vocalist, composer, pianist and producer Chloë March's genre-defying music ranges from sophisticated chamber pop to cinematic electronica. Since self-releasing her album 'Snowdrop' in 2004, March has followed her own distinctive path, attracting loyal fans, glowing critical attention and airplay including BBC6 Music. After touring the UK and Italy as keyboard player with CousteauX , March spent three years teaching herself how to record and produce while writing her second album 'Divining' (2008) in which she explored her fascination with multi-layering vocals and sonic textures combined with a sensual harmonic depth. In 2014, Australian label Hidden Shoal re-released March's third full-length ’Nights Bright Days’ to critical acclaim. ‘Blood-Red Spark’ (Hidden Shoal/Powderkeg 2017) was nominated for Best Album: Pop in the Independent Music Awards. March’s highly praised fifth album ‘Starlings & Crows’ (Hidden Shoal/Powderkeg 2020) was influenced by her love and concern for the natural world and appeared in many ‘Best of 2020’’s "One of those one-in-a-million voices... No-one sounds quite like her, either vocally or musically. Ravishing!' Textura March's background includes classical piano and composing for Theatre and Dance. She is a frequent co-writer and guest vocalist inc. Jumpel, Liminal Drifter and Todd Tobias (producer Guided By Voices) and most recently Dürbeck & Dohmen on the single ‘Golden Sunset’ written for the 2022 German TV show ‘ZERV’.
