Jade Ell is a hitmaking Swedish artist and songwriter, who developed her musical style as she moved from country to country collecting memories that inspired her songs. At one point she was herding sheep in Israel, and at another working at the Swedish Consulate in San Diego. During her stay in the U.S, Ell reunited with relatives from Chicago, who encouraged her to pursue her dream. During that time, her mentor musician Richard Péay invited her to the 1996 Grammy’s. When she returned to Sweden, she worked with Jörgen Elofsson to create 'Promises and Prayers', which was released in 1999. The album featured the single 'Got to Let You Go,' which was named Record of the Week by the UK publication The Tip Sheet. After the 2002 single 'Shallow World' (playlisted on P3 SR), Ell returned with the Mats Hedström-produced album ”Methods”, three years later. In 2004, Jade moved to Copenhagen, but continued to collaborate with Hedström as a songwriter, scoring a hit with Feliz Cumpleaños, which reached #1 at Billboard Top Latin Album Charts. In 2009, Ell's art rock project Xanima, drew comparisons to Evanescence and Kate Bush with their album Inside Warrior. Ell is also producing her own artist projects. The album ’Mourning This Mourning’ was released under the name ’Ellen’ in 2010 and that was also her first selfmade or ’JadeMade’ album. Now she is releasing songs for her upcoming album, ’Sounds & Rhymes’ - with ’Hereafter’ as the latest one - being a reminder of each second’s value..
