Berlin's DJ Gan-G first began experimenting with turntables at the age of 13. Inspired by watching videos from major DJ competitions like DMC and ITF, the young Persian-born music fan began building his collection and developing his own skills on the decks. In 2001, he participated in the ITF competition, becoming a finalist for Germany and essentially beginning his career. In the following years, he became a much sought-after club DJ backing major international acts like Lumidee, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Yukmouth. Using the contacts he'd developed, in 2004 he founded the Major Movez agency, which provides bookings and promotion for a variety of popular European and American hip-hop acts. Using the label portion of his agency, DJ Gan-G has released a number of successful collaborations like 2008's Still Major (with Kool Savas) and the Maskulin Mixtape series, featuring several acts from Major Movez's roster. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
